This is the mini-biography of Shirley Gourley from FL (aka TT BAG LADY)
who knits beautiful & truly unique items from recycled grocery bags -

"I wanted something to put my dirty clothes in when I traveled in my little motorhome. It had to be just the right size to hold a washer full and have handles that allowed for easy carry from my site to the laundry room. People looked at it and wondered where I got such a nice, handy little outfit. I said "I made it". Many said "you should make them to sell". Well I did and I got into more and more items. Every time I needed something to make life easier for me I'd find people liked it and I'd make some to sell. It just took off. I made mats for, public showers, then rugs for the motorhome. I found they took lots of abuse so I did some for the outside to wipe shoes on. My sons found they worked good in boats because wet floors were slippery and the rug worked great. All their friends wanted them also. The laundry bags became beach bags to some. Heavy things to and wet things back. This became the thing for the beach and the boat. It kept me very busy in the summer with all their friend!  I liked having the extra money from time to time. Being retired with rising costs is sometimes very hard. I like having something to do with my hands and thing I can make without investing money. I especially like selling things and having people tell how great they are.  I'm a member of Thousand Trails campground system and have a CUTE title now, "TT BAG LADY". Many save bags for me."
